An amplifier used in a feedback system has a nominal open-loop gain of *A* = 20. In a batch of amplifiers, the variance of the open-loop gain is known to be ±40%. The circuits used to make the feedback path all have *β* = 0.0125 exactly. (There is no variance in *β*.) If we build 500000 versions of the closed-loop circuits using the imperfect amps and the perfect feedback networks, what are the minimum and maximum values for closed-loop gain that we would expect to see?
