SPICE for EE201 and EE230
There are two recommended implementations of SPICE for students taking introductory circuits and electronics classes:
- LTspice is provided for free by Analog Devices (LTspice was originally developed by Linear Technology, which later was acquired by Analog Devices.) It is completely free, has no operational restrictions, and runs on both Windows and macOS. (There are slight differences in the two versions, but mostly they are identical.) Download it for your computer and follow the installations instructions.

Tutorials
- Introduction to using LTspice on macOS – Describes the details of setting up a simple EE-201-type circuit and running a DC simulation using the Mac version of LTspice.
- Windows LTspice intro – Similar to the Mac tutorial, but with specific details for the Windows version.
