Next Meeting
The next meeting for Arduino Club will be on Mon, Apr 17, at 6:30 p.m. in 3043 Coover. The main topic of the evening will be burning boot loaders and programming the Cyduino — essential skills needed when making our own embedded systems. If time permits, we may discuss some other skills needed for working with Arduinos/Cyduinos.
This will be our last Arduino Club meeting of the year. (There will be an Audio Club meeting on Apr. 24. We will be making speakers.)
Mar 27.
The next meeting for Arduino Club will be on Mon, Apr 3, at 6:30 p.m. in 3043 Coover. The main topic of the evening will be making your own Arduino. We will discuss the parts of the Arduino that are essential for embedded operation. Then we will describe the Cyduino hardware kit, along with the different ways of programming it. Cyduino kits will be available from IEEE. There will also be some time to build stuff — we can move down to the labs on second floor and fire up the soldering irons.
Mar 20 – News Alert!!
Due to an unfortunately timed case of Covid, G. Tuttle is out of commission this week. So the Audio Club meeting that had been planned for Mar. 20 must be canceled.
Assuming no unforeseen complications, we will continue with meetings one week from today on Mar. 27.
Mar. 13, 2023
The next meeting for Arduino Club will be on Mon, Mar 27, at 6:30 p.m. in 3043 Coover. The main topic of the evening will be making your own Arduino. We will discuss the parts of the Arduino that are necessary if we want to make one of our own. Then we will describe the Cyduino* hardware kit, along with the different ways of programming it. There will also be some time to build stuff. Kits for the Cyduino will be available from IEEE. We can move down to the labs on second floor and fire up the soldering irons.
(* I'm changing the name of the do-it-yourself Arduino kit. We used to call it "bareduino".)
Mar 5, 2023
The first Arduino club meeting will be held on Mar 6 at 6:30 p.m. in Coover 3043. The meeting will last about an hour.
We will have a brief introduction to the club, go over some of the basic aspects of the Arduino platform, and look at a simple first project — a digital thermometer.
Anyone who is interested in using Arduinos and making embedded systems is welcome to attend.
Arduino Club is the companion to Audio Club
